GVEA asks members with restored power to leave on porch lights

Golden Valley Electric Association workers were busy into the night removing fallen trees and doing equipment repairs.
According to their latest update nearly 3,000 customers still remain without power.
Currently crews are in Cripple Creek, Chena Ridge, Farmers Loop, Geist, Murphy Dome, Aurora Subdivision, and other areas.
GVEA stated, “We work the areas to restore outages that affect the most members first.”
They asked that those who do have power leave their porch lights on to help distinguish to workers who may return to neighborhoods where the majority of the power has been restored those homes that have restored power and those that do not.
