Heirloom Plums (cut in half with pits removed)
Cinnamon Simple Syrup
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Water
2 Teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
Prepare simple syrup by adding the sugar to boiling water and stirring until dissolved. Add cinnamon and simmer for 3-5 minutes or until syrup begins to thicken slightly.
Prepare grill for direct cooking and place halved plums on grill directly over heat. Leave until desired grill marks are achieved and turn plums 90 degrees to achieve crosshatch grill marks if desired. Otherwise, leave plums over heat until plums are warmed and grill marks are achieved. Remove plums from grill, drizzle with cinnamon simple syrup and serve.
