Goldpanners upend the Bucs in the ninth to win series

FAIRBANKS-Last night the Alaska Goldpanners came back in the ninth inning to clinch the series against the Anchorage Bucs.

The Panners were down 3-0 but it was tied 4-4 going into the ninth inning where Alaska got two runs and held the Bucs to one in the final frame and hold on for a 6-5 win. There were 23 total hits in this game

Vahn Bozohian led the Panners going 3-4 with the game winning two run swing that went yard in the ninth. Mike Wieland had two rbis and two doubles as well.

Alaska wins the series 3-2 for their first ABL series victory of the summer. The Panners are 13-5 overall and 3-4 in the ABL. The Bucs are 16-8 and are still the American League leaders at 10-6.

Next Alaska plays the Chugiak Chinooks today in a double header in Chugiak.
