Goldpanners' six game winning streak ends

FAIRBANKS, AK-The Goldpanners were on a roll winning six straight going into last night's game with the Glacier Pilots. But the Anchorage team played with pride after losing the first three of this four game series to the home team.

It was a pitching duel for most of the game before the Pilots got their offense going.
Chris Hoo had a solo jack to break the scoreless tie in the fourth inning for the Pilots.

The Panners couldn't figure out Pilots pitcher Kyle Parker who tossed six scoreless innings with six Ks. The Pilots got 13 hits on five Alaska pitchers and went off for three runs in the sixth and four in the eighth. They win 9-1.

Mike Dingilian took the loss but Alex Rubanowitz prevented the shutout with his second homer of the season.

Not the way the Goldpanners want to start a 10 day road trip that include 8 road games and the All-Star Break. They play the Anchorage Bucs this evening. The Goldpanners now have a one and a half game lead in the ABL.

The Panners won't be back in the Golden Heart City until July 25 hosting a four game series with the Mat-Su Miners.
