Goldpanners go 500 on road trip

FAIRBANKS, AK-The Goldpanners were on a three game winning streak this weekend but it was snapped by the last place Chugiak Chinooks.

It was tight late with Alaska tying the game at 4 all in the top of eighth. But in the bottom of the inning Goldpanners pitcher Kevin Sprague's throwing error brought in the winning run. The Chinooks never trailed on Sunday.

The Goldpanners finished their six game road trip with a 3-3 record.

Alaska is still on top of the ABL despite the loss with a 10-6 record. The Anchorage Bucs are a half game back. Tomorrow the Panners will be home for a seven game homestand featuring the Chinooks for three more games and the Anchorage Glacier Pilots for a four game series.
