Goldpanners bounce back with impressive win

FAIRBANKS, AK-After suffering consecutive losses for only the second time this summer you Alaska Goldpanners respond with a high scoring victory.

Last night in Palmer on Hermon Brothers Field the Goldpanners reel off 14 runs against the Mat-Su Miners. Alaska offense was just on point. They were up 13-0 at the top of the fourth. 9 of 10 players had at least one hit.

David Edwards went three for six including a two run homer run, his first of the season, a double and three runs scored to lead the Panners.

Five pitchers allowed just five hits. Starter Mikey Ramirez had a game high five Ks for Alaska.

The Goldpanners win 14-4 and are now tied for second place in the ABL with the Miners.

The Panners will stay on the road for their next three games.  Tonight and Saturday they play at the Anchorage Glacier Pilots and Sunday at the Chugiak Chinooks.
