The Goldpanners on another winning streak

FAIRBANKS, AK-After a three game sweep of the Chugiak Chinooks the Alaska Goldpanners welcomed the Anchorage Glacier Pilots into Growden Memorial Park last night. Last night was also Friends of NRA night as the NRA gave out free tickets this week and had a raffle for a gun during the game.

The game itself was a defensive struggle. The first run wasn't until the fifth and that was on fielder's choice double play with the bases loaded for the Panners. In the bottom of the sixth Alaska got another run on a sac fly by Nick Catalano for a 2-0 lead.

Nathan Bannister did work in his start for Alaska with 7ks and throwing a seven inning shutout. The Panners would go on to win 3-1. Making Bannister 4-0.

That's four wins in a row for the Goldpanners who have a two game lead in the ABL. The Goldpanners have a double header with the Pilots today and wrap up the four game series at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
