Flint Hills Resources has been working hard to bring recognition to volunteers throughout the Interior.

While spotlighting these individuals, they are also encouraging a community that gives back to those who need it.

"Golden Heart Heroes" is a program sponsored by Flint Hills Resources. The mission is to recognize and honor the people who truly give back to our community. After 20 years, the program has morphed and continued to grow, just like the volunteers it recognizes.

While recognizing those who serve, the project highlights volunteerism and promotes the idea of volunteering and gratitude in the community.

What makes a Golden Heart Hero?

Marisa Sharrah of Flint Hills Resources says, “It’s anyone from the football coach, to the dog park volunteer, to the hospice worker.”
