The GNAC announces UAF cross country as top academic team

FAIRBANKS, AK- The Alaska Nanook cross country teams received academic awards from the GNAC. The women's cross country team had the top GPA of any team in the conference with a 3.7 grade point average. This is the second academic team champion title in a row for the women's cross country team.

The men's cross country team was narrowly behind St. Martin's with a 3.45 GPA for second in cross country.

Both teams placed athletes on the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team with Alyson McPhetres, Raphaela Sieber and Ross MacDougall. 69 of the GNAC's 112 teams had GPAs of at least 3.0.
