GFRA'S Breast Cancer Awareness night yields good races

FAIRBANKS, AK-Last night the GFRA had its Breast Cancer Awareness night raising over 500 dollars.

In 15 lap dollar stock main event Leslie Lee in the 17 car came away with the checkered flag.

The Street and B-stock main event was pretty aggressive lots of bumps and collisions but Darren Peterson in the 87 car didn't mind it and came away with the victory.

The Mini bomber main event had a series of lead changes. Last week's winner Christina Miller had the early lead but would spin out of the lead and would pit. Steve Spencer and Jayson Mayrand, first and second in points went back and forth. However, Spencer would make the final move for the win.

Jay Coghill won the sprint class main event staying clean and out trouble in the 27 car.

The modified class had a 50 lap main event so who could finish? There were 7 cautions and half of the 10 car field didn't finish the race. It looked like Scott Sluka the points leader would cruise to another win but he had engine problems and couldn't finish which opened the door for Zach Harpole who came away with the win.

In the night cap, the Gladiators, the demolition derby and fan favorite class tore it up and speaking tore up, the 30 car, with almost no tires, somehow came away with the win surviving all the metal carnage.
