FAIRBANKS - Alaskans are invited to drop off outdated or unused prescription medications for free, safe disposal Saturday at various locations statewide. Fairbanks Police officers and Alaska State Troopers will be supervising.
They'll accept pills in bottles along with liquids and creams in their original containers. Anyone who turns in medication will remain anonymous.
Removing potentially dangerous prescription drugs from your house can help keep your family safe. Some may be strong narcotics which may harm children or tempt teens.
Drop-off locations in Fairbanks are Fred Meyer West, the Fairbanks Police Department, or the Alaska State Troopers on Peger Road.
