FAIRBANKS, AK -- A group trying to get cheap energy to the interior explained their plan to state lawmakers yesterday.
Members of the Lowell group say they have a plan to get natural gas to Fairbanks in two years.
Lawmakers around the state tuned in to the presentation by way of statewide teleconference.
The plan, which can be found online, lays out everything for gas for Fairbanks and the bush which they say will help the interior of Alaska.
The group is seeking funding from the state to put the plan into effect.
Members of The Lowell Group say they are willing to listen if someone else has a better plan, but they maintain their plan is shovel ready now and they need unified supporter from Interior legislators.k
