We reported yesterday that the tuition assistance program for the military had been reinstated.
Just a few days before that, it had been announced that the program would be cut because of sequestration.
Today, the pentagon said the previously announced furlough of civilian employees would be eased.
Originally set at 22 days, the furloughs will now be 14 days.
Under the new plan, the unpaid furloughs would not begin until mid June, with notices going out before that.
