A Fort Wainwright Stryker Brigade soldier has been acquitted of a negligent homicide charge.
Sgt. Adam Holcomb was found not guilty in the death of Army Private Danny Chen, who committed suicide while stationed in Afghanistan.
Holcomb was found guilty today on two lesser charges, maltreatment of a subordinate and assault.
Holcomb was the first of eight soldiers to be court-martialed for the alleged racial hazing of Chen, who killed himself last October.
Prosecutors said Holcomb abused Chen and drove him to suicide.
