Fort Wainwright Soldier named U.S. Army's "Soldier of the Year"

Spc. Adam Christensen, a United States Army Alaska soldier stationed at Fort Wainwright was named the "soldier of the year" Friday evening.
Christensen has been competing in the Army's premiere individual soldier competition coined, "The Best Warrior Competition."
Earlier this fall the Newscenter spoke to Christensen, part of the 472nd Military Police Company as he was gearing up to compete.
This competition tests all of the soldier's key strengths and knowledge from very phsycial activity to a board conducted to test the soldier's on their knowledge and skills.
Christensen spoke to the Newscenter this morning and said he was, "proud of all his peers and will take this experience with me for years to come."
