FAIRBANKS- The CEO of Fairbanks Natural Gas testified in front of the Regulatory Commission of Alaska today. Dan Britton supported his company’s application that they are fit, willing, and able to deliver natural gas to several areas in the borough. He also responded to criticism that they cater to larger businesses, saying it lowers gas rates for everyone. Both Fairbanks Natural Gas and Interior Alaska Gas Utility want approval from the commission to serve customers across North Pole, Chena Hot Springs Road and the Goldstream Valley. Today was the last day of witness testimony for FNG. Tomorrow Interior Gas Utility has 11 witnesses scheduled, including borough Mayor Luke Hopkins. Officials with RCA say they will make a final decision around October 19.
