Flaharty and Donaldson headline first Town Series

FAIRBANKS-The first races of the 18th Annual Flint Hills Resources Town Race Series took place on Saturday. They were over 200 entries but about 160 finished. Colony and Palmer couldn't make it to Fairbanks due to inclement weather.

The ladies did the 5.8K first and Davya Flaharty came in first finishing in 19:47.5 second. It was a family oriented women's field. Flaharty's mom, aunt and cousin also raced. Maria Bray was second in 20:01.7. Jenna Difolco was the first high school to finish in 20:39.4 for third overall. Donna Difolco, Jenna's mom was fourth.

On the men's side West Valley's Max Donaldson' broke away and won by 14 seconds in 20:49.9 over Riley Troyer. Erich Hoefler was third, then Joe Bue, and Tyson Flaharty.
