FAIRBANKS- Delegates at the annual Tanana Chiefs Conference say they want fair treatment with regard to fishery management. They passed a resolution Wednesday stating they want a larger role in decision making. In recent years, declining King salmon runs in the Yukon– Kuskokwim area have led to restrictions on subsistence fishing. Many natives in the region say commercial fishing should be limited before the state places limits on subsistence fishing. That resolution was among more than 60 resolutions that were considered, most were approved.
