FAIRBANKS-Drivers were able to take advantage of some sun at the North Pole Speedway on Thursday night. A small field in the Legends class, just four cars but Al Trettel was in a battle for second in the main event with Ryan Cote.

Who got first? Austin Cote, Ryan's son. He earned two huge wins-the 2nd heat and the main event to stay within striking distance Trettel in the points standings. Trettel came win with a 56 point lead.

"It almost gets frustrating battling with the same person then again it's fun because you learn the driver so you learn how hard you can push him without him getting in a wreck or anything so I mean we get pretty fast it gets pretty fun," Cote said.

These races are significant with just six weeks left in the season for points. Destiney Todd, however, continues to hold on to first place in the Bandos. She came in with a 117 point lead and lowered the broom with a full night's sweep winning both heats and the main event.
