Fairbanks woman in critical condition after ATV accident

FAIRBANKS- A Fairbanks woman has been flown to Providence Medical Center in Anchorage after an ATV accident left her critically injured.

Alaska State Troopers say 48-year-old Rebecca Strange was four wheeling on Goldstream Road near the Steese Highway when the ATV rolled.

EMS personnel were able to transport Strange to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital; she was later airlifted to Anchorage.

Officials say Strange was not wearing a helmet and was riding alone at the time of the accident.

Strange is listed in critical, but stable condition.

Troopers say the incident is under investigation.
