Fairbanks teen charged after caught in midst of break-in

FAIRBANKS- A Fairbanks teen, allegedly caught in the act of burglarizing a home, is now facing numerous charges.

18-year-old Tessa Peter is charged with first degree burglary and criminal mischief in connection to the August 3rd break-in.

An affidavit stated the homeowner heard the sound of glass breaking inside of the residence, and after she phoned for police, Alaska State Troopers arrived with their K-9 unit.

Troopers deployed K-9 Skippy, and Peter fled from the home leaving broken bottles, glass, and blood stains throughout the residence.

She was later detained with what Troopers described as a broken bottle to use as a weapon.
