Fairbanks teen arraigned in connection with shooting

A 16-year-old Fairbanks man was arraigned today in Fairbanks District Court after being indicted on multiple felony charges from an apartment shooting.

Chester Fields has been charged as an adult in the case with Robbery in the First Degree, Burglary in the First Degree, and Assault in the First Degree.

According to court documents, Fields and his 21-year-old accomplice Isaiah Cross reportedly broke into a Wedgewood Apartment and shot at the residents multiple times after claiming they were going to get "money owed to them."

Fields and Cross reportedly used a BB gun, .40 Caliber handgun, and a 9mm handgun in the incident, wounding residents of the hotel.

Police arrested both suspects within 24-hours of the incident, Fields on other charges outside of the shooting.

Fields is due to appear in court again March 11th.
