Fairbanks Police urge caution as black ice forms on roads

A weather system which brought a mix of rain and snow to the central Interior including Fairbanks is moving off to the east this evening. Breaks in the clouds combined with temperatures in the 20s Tuesday night will result in black ice on many roads around Fairbanks, especially the outlying areas.

Patchy dense fog may also develop late tonight as well. Motorists are encouraged to drive cautiously tonight and during the morning commute on Wednesday.
