Over the weekend Fairbanks Police Department was busy with yet another string of burglaries.

The recent burglaries targeted the Shoppers' Forum Mall.

Police have investigated 7 robberies of businesses this year however, this was the largest as nearly every store was broken into.

The stores that were left untouched included Planet Fitness and a liquor store, both in visible distance.

Police have yet to publicly identify a suspect, however the Newscenter Spoke with Lieutenant Welbourne this afternoon and he confirmed FPD does have a person of interest in custody at this time.
