Fairbanks Man jailed after assaulting a Trooper

 A Fairbanks man is in jail after assaulting an Alaska State Trooper.
28-year-old Ronald D. Baker of Fairbanks is charged with Felony Assault.
According to a release, Troopers received a report of an intoxicated man holding a 
knife and a cordless drill at the College Inn.
Upon arrival Troopers attempted to detain the suspect who was uncooperative.
A struggle ensued and Baker yielded a pocketknife and stabbed and cut a Trooper 
during the arrest.
The Trooper received 2 minor lacerations to his left hand and was treated at 
Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.
