The Festivities

When the walk is over, head back to the park and visit each of the American Heart Association villages - Create Hope, Inspire Change, and Celebrate Success - to learn more about your heart health.

9:00 AM: Pre Walk Activities / Team Photos / Blood Pressure Checks / Children's Fun Zone / Tribute & Memory / Silent Auction / Entertainment / Walk Warm Ups
10:00 AM: The Walk Starts / Entertainment on Both Routes (1 & 2.5 Mile) 
10:45 AM: Lunch for All Walkers / Awards & Recognition Ceremony / Grand Prize Drawing by GCI & Alaska Airlines

Why Walk?

The money raised through the Fairbanks Heart Walk funds research at local institutions and initiatives that promote the prevention, treatment and better patient care in the areas of cardiovascular disease, the leading killer in the United States. The American Heart Association is the nation's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to building healthier lives, free of heart disease and stroke.
