Fairbanks fugitive continues to elude authorities

FAIRBANKS- Fairbanks Police Department is still actively searching for a fugitive on the run since Wednesday.

28-year-old Julius "JT" Chambers stole a police vehicle and ran from authorities after being placed under arrest.

Officials say they responded to a disturbance call where Chambers became combative; bystanders assisted police in the arrest.

Since Wednesday numerous leads have taken police to different locations around the Fairbanks area, however Chambers continues to elude them.

Chambers took to his social media page, posting photos and messages where he said, "I WILL BATHE IN THE BLOOD OF MY ENEMY'S AND GLADLY PAY A FEE OF BLOOD AND BONE."

Chambers is known to carry weapons and is considered dangerous to approach; if you have information you can phone Fairbanks Police at 450-6500.
