Extras needed for indie film "Mining for Ruby."

UAF Film officials are in need of Fairbanks movie "extras" for the indie feature "Mining For Ruby," that's already started shooting in Alaska, and will make its way to Fairbanks on Monday.

The feature stars Judd Nelson, Jonathan Bennett, Daniel Ponickly and Antoinette Kalaj.

Officials say they are in need of "extras" 21 and over only to film a "Bar Scene" sequence in the film.

Interested individuals are needed in Fairbanks at 10 a.m. Monday June 10.

Monkey Productions is producing through its principals Zoe Quist, Ponickly and Daniel Lawrence Abrams, with William St. Pierre and Maya Salganek exec producing.

Ponickly plays a widower dealing with his continued depression who falls for the title character Ruby (played by Kalaj), a passionate environmentalist embroiled in a poisonous waste

controversy.

Nelson will portray a professor.
