FAIRBANKS- As tourism marketing shifts to the internet, cities are creating stylish new logos to attract more visitors. The Fairbanks Convention and Visitors Bureau is upgrading as well. The non-profit organization announced at the Interior Tourism Conference, last week, that they will operate under the name “Explore Fairbanks,” which has been used for several years on the internet. The logo itself portrays the midnight sun and the aurora borealis, two special characteristics about Fairbanks. The non-profit marketing organization has been around for more than 30 years promoting interior-Alaskan tourism.
