At 2:30pm this afternoon (January 16th) reports of an Active Shooter on base at Eielson  resulted in a base lockdown. The scene has been secured by the by 354th Fighter Wing emergency responders who then called the situation a false alarm. Reportedly Exercise Activities by the base had been the culprit.
