Drivers need to "shift" to winter thinking

Yesterday's icy morning road conditions were no dobut the first of many to come.

During the morning rush hour, there were several accidents, however none were serious.

An accident near the Badger Road overpass did leave the highway closed for almost an hour, but the road was opened to traffic soon after.

Some of the accidents were caused by people losing control due to unexpected black ice on the road, while others were overpass related.

As winter approaches, law enforcement is asking drivers to remember to swap summer tires for winter, clean your lights, and begin making the transition from summer to winter driving.
