Daylight Savings Time

FAIRBANKS- Daylight Savings Time, the practice of moving our clocks one hour ahead, starts Sunday at 2 am. The modern idea of Daylight Savings Time was introduced in the late 19th century, and later people hoped it would conserve energy by reducing the use of incandescent light bulbs. One added benefit was to have a little extra sun after work to spend on leisure activities. While that sounds good, we’ll always be left wondering how much impact it has up here in the far north.
