KTVF and Wes Madden Real Estate teamed up again this year for the annual coat drive.
Coined 'Coats for Kids' the cause has been going for years and its purpose is to gather warm weather gear for youth in the community who are less fortunate and help them to stay warm in the winter.
This year there was a large turnout as members of the community stopped in to the many drop-off stations to donate their used items.
Members with Wes Madden Real Estate say, it's a reflection of the community we live in and that there is a reason why Fairbanks is called the "Golden Heart City."
Brandon Phillips, an associate Broker with the company said, “It’s one of the many things we do as a community. How many other places do you see that does a cleanup day after the snow melts? Everyone stops what they are doing to go and clean up; we've always got something going on with the community.”
Phillips said members of Madden get a sense of reward from the partner drive with KTVF, “It's incredibly rewarding. I love seeing when people who aren't even clients come into our office because they know that's where they should be. They come in with a huge bag of coats and it's really rewarding."
