Coast Guard rescues pilot after crash near Cold Bay

Alaska State Troopers called in the Coast Guard to assist in rescuing a downed aircraft near Cold Bay.
According to a release, Troopers flew over the mouth of the Joshua Green River, which is 20 miles north of Cold Bay, where they discovered the upside down plane.
People were seen standing outside of the aircraft and Troopers were unable to land or reach the pilot via radio.
A Coast Guard Helicopter was called in to reach the wreckage and determine the injuries.
The Pilot, identified as Matthew Owen of Kasilof, was transported to Cold Bay uninjured.
NTSB has been notified of the incident.
