City Unviels Road Improvements

FAIRBANKS- Business traffic in northeast Fairbanks has been crammed during rush hour, but starting today, driving between businesses will be more safe and easy. This morning, Fairbanks Public Works put the finishing touches on the $5.2 million upgrade, which includes two new roundabouts, a new traffic light, and a new railroad crossing. The railroad crossing connects people from Sam's Club to the shopping district near Johansen Expressway. Mayor Jerry Cleworth says the entry into the shopping district has been challenging for years and these improvements were carefully planned.
