Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms investigating explosive found outside school

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms is investigating an explosive found outside of Monroe High School last week.

Fairbanks Police found what officials are calling a "homemade explosive" outside of the school and phoned ATF for backup.

Cheryl Bishop confirmed to the Newscenter that the device was successfully collected and is being sent to the ATF Walnut Creek, California laboratory for testing.

An investigation into this case is ongoing.
