BREAKING NEWS: Four rural Interior residents jailed on Burglary, Theft charges.

Four residents from the Interior village of Allakaket, including a 17 year old girl, were arrested and jailed for their role in a large scale Burglary and Theft operation that netted them thousands

of dollars.

That's according to a news release from the Alaska State Troopers.

Troopers say on April 28, they received a report that the Allakaket City Office had been burglarized and a safe containing several thousand dollars in cash, money orders, and checks were

stolen.

Troopers say 20 year old Thomas Vaughn, 19 year old Caroline Gary and the juvenile female all broke into the city office through a window, and removed the safe located inside.

Troopers say with the assistance of 25 year old Trevor Williams, they broke open the safe and removed its contents.

Williams, Vaughn and Gary were arrested and taken to the Fairbanks Correctional Center on a host of felony charges.

Additional charges have been referred to the Department of Juvenile Justice against the 17 year old girl.
