A convicted child killer faces a maximum 70 years in jail after striking a plea deal in State Court
During a scheduled hearing, Carl David, Jr. pleaded guilty to a single count of Second Degree
Murder in the April 17, 2012 murder of 2 year old Jacob Williams, the son of his former
David admitted to Fairbanks Police that he assaulted the child after Jacob had apparently
wet the bed.
Sentencing in the case is set for September 17 in front of Judge Douglas Blankenship.
Reached for comment, David's Anchorage-based attorney Brendan Kelley called the
agreement an "effective resolution to a tragic situation."
