After a four-day search, Police announced they have apprehended fugitive Julius "JT" Chambers.
Amber Courtney, Public Information Officer with the City says Chambers was apprehended Saturday night at an eight-plex apartment off of Newby Road in North Pole.
A K-9 unit from the Alaska State Troopers was dispatched to the apartment which had been under surveillance.
Residents were evacuated from the complex as officers were called out to the scene to arrest Chambers.
At 11:30p.m. police entered the apartment, where they found Chambers hiding under a pile of clothing and a futon mattress.
K-9 dog "Skippy" located Chambers, who resisted arrest but was quickly detained.
Charges have been forwarded against Chambers, as well as the person who harbored him for the time he was running from authorities.
