Last Saturday at the Arctic Bowl Bowling Center, in addition to the normal sounds of bowling pins flying around and pinsetters clanking against the floor,The scene was adults and kids in a festive atmosphere.Big Brothers and Big Sisters celebrated their 25th year of "Bowl for Kids Sake", with a day of bowling and a silent auction.After the day ended and the receipts were totaled up. Along with corporate donations, the non-profit organization had raised close to 50,000 dollars.
Afterwards Lori Wilson event coordinator said Big Brothers, Big Sisters was encouraged by the turnout.
"Bowl for Kids Sake was successful and people had a great time.They had Alaska Phoenix ProductionsWas out there doing balloons, and face painting, kids had a lot of fun, we had wild and crazy balloon hats going on.
We're pretty pleased at how things went,And we are very thankful to the community for coming out and supporting our organization Big Brothers, Big Sisters."
