Board of Regents Meet in Fairbanks

FAIRBANKS- The University of Alaska Board of regents began its Fairbanks meeting today at UAF. UA President, Patrick Gamble addressed the board and said it’s a pivotal point at the university because the federal government is demanding better results, while the state is anticipating reduced funding. In the coming years, the board is looking to create fundamental changes in the UA system to improve opportunities. The enfolding strategy is titled, “Shaping Alaska’s Future,” and some goals include: improving graduation rates, increasing diversity, and making UA campuses more competitive.
