Board of Regents hikes tuition

Most University of Alaska students will be seeing higher education costs in the 2014-2015 school year.
The University Board of Regents approved the hikes at a meeting in Anchorage today (Wednesday).
The increases amount to 6 dollars per credit for undergraduate classes, and 12 dollars per credit for graduate courses.
There will be a 12 dollar per credit course surcharge for non resident students.

The increases range from 2-point-8 to 3-point-6 percent.
