Blockbuster Continues Renting Movies

FAIRBANKS- People looking to rent movies can breath easy, Blockbuster franchises in Alaska will stay open, as corporate stores close in the lower 48.  Austin-based Border Entertainment owns the stores in Alaska, and the management says they are still profitable businesses that give customers a good selection and low prices. After the remaining corporate stores close, 25 percent of the surviving franchises will be located in Alaska; three stores are located in the borough. The Fairbanks district manager says, their stores are strong because they have a good relationship with customers.
