Bail denied for man allegedly connected to toddler murder

FAIRBANKS- Bail was denied this afternoon for the man accused of tampering with physical evidence in the death of a toddler last year.

32-year-old Robert "Lincoln" Croskrey also faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, and failure to report a violent crime against a child.

Croskrey's attorney asked the court to release him on 10-thousand dollars bail with a GPS ankle monitoring system, however, the state objected saying he hid the "brutal murder of an 18-month-old."

Croskrey was allegedly involved in a sexual relationship with the toddler's mother, Amberlynn Swanson, who faces murder charges.

She has since claimed that Croskrey was the one who took the young boy the night he was murdered in her vehicle, telling police she needed to take responsibility for what happened because she should have protected him.
