If you're looking for a fun event this weekend that helps to raise money for a worthwhile effort, check out Creamer's Field this Sunday at noon.
Thanks to the support of Design Alaska, local artists will have not only the opportunity to display their creative exhibits, but also to raise money for the Creamer's Field area.
The walking trail will be lined with a variety of art projects to entice walkers to buy the creations.
Twenty percent of the funds will go right back to the Creamer's Field folks to help them maintain the barn and the walking path.
Kim Krinke, a local artist, says this event is going to be fun.
"So it’s very much a community event, and for us local artists, we've lost so many of our galleries, that to have a venue in which to display our work is pretty exciting. And to have it be for such a worthy cause, you know I'm thrilled."
