Arizona guard signs with UAF

FAIRBANKS, AK-The University of Alaska Fairbanks women's basketball team was recently able to add to their team by way of one of their recruits for next season.Autumn Childers out of Dewey Arizona signed her national letter of intent to join the Nanooks last week.

Childers is a 5'9" guard out of Prescott High School where she was an All-Region first teamer for three seasons. She averaged 12 points per game for her career but averaged 17 points per game in her senior years. She had a 28 point 15 rebound game as a career high. Childers led Prescott to two Final Fours in the Arizona state tournament. Childers brings in a 4.0 GPA and plans to major in civil engineering.

Childers joins Jordan Wilson of Henderson, Colorado, Kaille Skjold out of Soldotna and local product Josie Broderick of North Pole high school as the four recruits coming to UAF next season.
