Arctic Innovation Competition Tonight

FAIRBANKS- The University Of Alaska Fairbanks School Of Management is having its 5th annual Arctic Innovation Competition for a chance to win big cash prizes. The competition was free to enter, and this year a record- breaking 327 ideas were submitted.  The first place prize will be ten thousand dollars. Organizers say it was very unusual that they received submissions from around the world, including Indonesia and India. Math teacher from Thorn Bay, Alaska, Mark Gunkel,  travelled up here with four students who are also semi- finalists. He says the competition is a great learning opportunity.

The winner will be announced tonight in the Woodcenter Ballroom on UAF, at 6pm or you can check the official website for results at: http://www.arcticinno.com/
