The Arctic Bears win state title and finish undefeated

WASILLA, Ak-Over the weekend your Arctic Bears girls hockey team made history becoming the first girls hockey team to win the inaugural girls state hockey invitational tournament.

It wasn't easy.

The Bears faced Dimond/West in the title game and trailed just 13 seconds into the game.
But senior Janelle Pascoe of North Pole tied things up and Pascoe would break a 2-2 in the second and the Bears would take a 5-2 lead into the third and hold off a rally from Dimond/West for the victory.n 6-4 was the final with Pascoe and Erika Martin, West Valley senior leading the Bears with two goals each.
Junior Peyton Lake of Fairbanks BEST added two assists as well. Darcy Peter and Karly Vohden, the other two seniors, go out on top.

The Bears went undefeated 23-0 and 1. Congratulations to the Arctic Bears-the first girls hockey invitational state champion.
