The American Red Cross of Fairbanks sent a team of three to Galena this morning in order to aid in preparation for returning Galena Residents.
According to Red Cross Director Michelle Daku, the team has been trained and sent in to a safe area to help with food and also help with other preparations at this point.
She says the team will then aid Residents returning, providing them with any help the Red Cross can.
Daku told the Newscenter it could be up to two weeks before any return to Galena due to safety concerns, or even longer.
The Red Cross is taking monetary donations for the Galena flood victims and you can contact their Fairbanks office at 456-5937.
