Alaska women's hockey team wins first ever women's hockey series in Alaska

FAIRBANKS-The Nanook women's hockey completed their historic series against The University of Delware with another blowout win.

The Nanooks defeated The Blue Hens 7-0 in the Patty Ice Arena on Friday night then on Saturday before the men's hockey game UAF won 10-0 and were not all intimated by the bigger ice surface or the Blue Hens.

It was all Nanooks as Katrina Lydon, the senior got back to back shutouts. Bailey Brewer had five assists and Cayla Wiita had a hat trick.

After leading just 1-0 after the first the Nanooks scored three times in 27 seconds to highlight their sweep in the first ever women's college hockey games in Alaska.
